Pediatric physiotherapy

Play-based assessment and treatment for infants and children, with guidance you can carry home between visits. Find what you're noticing below, and we'll walk you through it.

What can we help with?

What you might notice

Your baby consistently tilts or turns their head to one side, has a flattened spot on one side of the head, or seems to prefer looking in one direction only.

What usually causes it

Tight neck muscles on one side (torticollis), often related to positioning in the womb or shortly after birth, which can lead to a flat spot developing from consistent pressure on one side of the head (plagiocephaly).

Your first visit

Your physiotherapist performs a full pediatric assessment — measuring neck range of motion, muscle tightness, and head shape — and builds a play-based treatment plan suited to your baby's age and stage.

How treatment helps

Gentle, hands-on stretching and positioning techniques, paired with specific play-based exercises you'll learn to continue at home, gradually restore neck mobility and reduce pressure on the flattened area.

What to expect: Early intervention — ideally starting before 6 months — tends to see the fastest results, often within a small number of sessions plus consistent home practice; older infants may need a longer course of care.
